Aftercare
Looking after your new tattoo is the next step after your appointment.
This is a crucial part as not taking care of your tattoo will cause it to not look its best.
During your appointment, the aftercare will be explained to you in person, answering any questions you have.
But if you have any questions after your appointment has ended or have forgotten what to do; all the aftercare is written here.

The First Steps
After finishing your tattoo, I will apply a tattoo bandage / second skin to keep it clean as it is an open wound so it needs to be treated as so.
Keep this on for a minimum of 3 days.
Remove under warm running water and gently peel off away from the tattooed area, resulting in the film "lifting off".
Afterwards, throw the wrap away.

Before wrap the tattoo I will ask if there is any previous reactions to the adhesive film / second skin or have previously had any reactions to adhesive.

If so I will wrap your fresh tattoo in plastic wrap
Leave this on for 2 -4 hours.
Remove by pulling off the tape used.
Throw the wrap away.
Clean
After removing the wrap from your fresh tattoo, clean the area with warm water and gentle soap: tattoo specific soap is recommended or fragrance free soap.
Clean gently with water and soap to rub away any ink, plasma or debris from your tattoo.
Do not scrub vigorously.
Rinse gently with warm water, allow to air dry or pat dry with clean paper towels: Do not use a bath towel.

Healing Process
Apply Lotion:
It is recommended to use a tattoo specific lotion, I recommend Hustle Butter.
Avoid lotions containing petroleum.
Apply a thin layer to cover the tattoo area
Do not over-apply lotion
Rub in the aftercare lotion in completely, apply as you would with any other lotion.
Ongoing Aftercare:
Apply the recommended aftercare lotion 3-5 times daily at least or as needed for dryness
